I had a wonderful stay at Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle. The hotel’s facilities and atmosphere are truly beautiful, but what makes it stand out, by far, is its people — their kindness, warmth and genuine sense of care. Everyone I encountered, from housekeeping to the pool, restaurants and beach teams, was absolutely lovely. Every interaction felt welcoming and genuine. I would particularly like to acknowledge Tharindi and her team, who go above and beyond when it comes to guest care. They have a remarkable ability to make your stay not only comfortable, but truly memorable. Tharindi was consistently attentive, thoughtful and helpful, checking in on me every day, making sure I was doing well and that I had everything I needed. That kind of personal attention makes all the difference. If I had to sum up Anantara in one sentence, it would be this: They have what every successful hospitality business should consider its greatest asset: people who genuinely care about their guests and their well-being. I visited this incredible place last week and was blown away by the location and the warmth of the people once again. I had visited them back in 2020 and this was my 2nd time after 6 years and I went with my best friend. I wanted to showcase an incredible place I had visited before. From the welcome to the departure and during the stay not a single person failed to amaze us. I wanted to arrange a small thank you gesture to my best friend. It was just one text away because of the front office team. I must mention Nethri, Sayuri, Siva, Tharindi and big thank you to all for arranging the letter and amenities for my friend. It was a very special moment for me. We both are living in abroad and was craving for Sri Lankan flavors and spices. Lucky day for us it was a seafood theme dinner at Verele. Kalindu was super confident and presentable as he took us through the menu and helped us choose to fulfill our cravings. The prawns curry and the Crab curry is so far the best we had!!! 🫶🏽🤤 We were mostly relaxing by the pool during the day. While we’re in the pool it started drizzling. Prageeth who walked passed by our sun bed was kind enough to move and cover my novel and the belongings so it did it get wet and I didn’t have to get out of the pool. What a thoughtful gesture. 💖 Duminda was from Spa was amazing too. It was so soothing to watch and enjoy the beautiful nature, it’s indeed a Peace Haven. The sundown ceremony and the stunning Ilmare cliff again took my breath away. The farewell ritual was absolutely touching and we both teared. Thank you so much everyone for making it so homely and memorable. We did not want to leave. See you all soon!

Some hotels impress you with their beautiful surroundings and luxurious facilities, but what really makes a stay unforgettable is the people who look after you. Our experience at Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle was a perfect example of this. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with so much warmth and genuine kindness. The team made us feel comfortable and special throughout our stay. There was nothing that felt forced or artificial about the hospitality; it was the kind of personal attention that makes you feel genuinely appreciated as a guest. One person who deserves special recognition is our host, Imasha. She was absolutely wonderful. You could clearly see that she takes pride in her work and genuinely wants guests to have the best possible experience. She was always helpful, attentive and ready to assist whenever we needed something. She really goes the extra mile, and we can honestly say she was one of the best hosts we have ever had. People like Imasha make a huge difference to the overall experience of a hotel. We were also very impressed with the cleanliness of our room. Everything was beautifully maintained, but the bathroom deserves a special mention. It was exceptionally clean, fresh and spotless. These details might seem small, but they say a lot about the standards of a property and the attention given to guests. The entire atmosphere of the resort makes it easy to slow down, relax and enjoy your surroundings. The beautiful setting, peaceful environment and attention to detail all contribute to making this place special. What we appreciated most was that the luxury was not limited to the appearance of the property. It was also reflected in the way people treated us. Good facilities can be found in many luxury hotels, but genuine hospitality is something much harder to find. A big thank you to Imasha and the entire team for making our stay such a lovely experience.
